Replace Concrete Stairs
Description:
The work was performed under the terms of this contract consists of furnishing all materials,
labor, plant, tools, transportation, equipment, testing services, quality control and incidentals
required to accomplish the repair/replacement of the east breezeway stair and surrounding
pavement at building 260 on Tinker Air Force Base (AFB), Oklahoma.
Mobilization:
- Setup of staging area for equipment and refuse material
- Installation of visual and physical barriers to deter pedestrian access to construction areas
- Confirm location of underground utilities before executing any excavation/demolition work.
- Provide protection of any building equipment close to the project site.
- Consult with TAFB Construction Management personnel for recommendations on protective measures for utilities and surrounding equipment.
Demolition:
Saw cut the perimeter of the identified area of pavement as per project site drawings. Employ wet cutting methods for all saw cutting. Saw cut full depth, with straight edges and 90-degree corners. Do not over cut the corners.
Demolish existing asphalt pavement, including excavation for subbase work.
